Cream teas, books galore and a talk by author and illustrator Lucy Volpin (pictured above) – ingredients for a most enjpyable afternoon.

Lucy’s books are so vibrant, fun and interactive, which is what makes them  perfect for engaing young or hesitant readers – our volunteers and the children they work with love them. Lucy shared with us how she creates her animal characters and storylines, and gave us a fascinating insight into the process of producing a book. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
